OUR PROCESS
Our approach to every project is to listen first.
Listening to the goals, aspirations, and needs of our clients is essential to the creation and delivery of their space. We take cues from the community, from the site, and adapt to the existing context to help inform any design intentions. We establish the relationships we want our project to have with the site and the environment to its inhabitants and their culture.
The control we give our clients by providing the design as well as managing the entire construction process reassures no detail is lost and the design intent is driven through the entire project.
Each project’s relationships are complex and carry a number of variables. Through research, interpretation, and rigorous coordination we carefully interpret this into architecture. We immerse ourselves into every project, this is the only way to engage and empathize with our client’s objectives while generating an enjoyable experience. We pride ourselves on tailoring this approach to meet any budget and any project size. We have an incredible network of resources, consultants, and trade partners to accomplish large scale and complex projects.

TYLER BENCE
Before co-founding Bence Build, Tyler worked as a general contractor in Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI. In Chicago, Tyler worked with the internationally renowned general contracting company McHugh Construction. In the Building & Concrete division at McHugh Construction, Tyler worked on project types ranging from high-rises in downtown Chicago to water treatment facilities. In Milwaukee, Tyler joined CG Schmidt and worked with a variety of clients including Uline, Irgens, and Icon Venue Group. Significant projects prior to Bence Build include 73 East Lake Street, City Hyde Park, Stickney Water Treatment Facility, and Uline Office Building. Tyler received a B.S. in Construction Management from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
CAMERON BENCE
Before co-founding Bence Build, Cameron worked as an architect and designer in Minneapolis, MN with the national award-winning architecture firm, Snow Kreilich Architects. As an architect and designer, Cameron has worked on project types ranging from baseball stadiums and restaurants to leatherback turtle research facilities. He has been fortunate to work for clients including Saint Paul Saints Baseball, Delta Airlines, and Target Corporation. Significant projects while at Snow Kreilich include the award-winning CHS Field, Target Commons, Delta IRC, and Newport Transit Station.
Cameron received a B.A. in Architecture from Lehigh University and holds Master’s degrees in both Architecture and Construction Management from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He is a licensed Architect in Wisconsin and Minnesota, holds an NCARB (National College of Architectural Registration Boards) certificate and is a member of the AIA (American Institute of Architects).
